Bao for breakfast?! Yes Please!
I kept seeing Panda & Co and their awesome range of beverages popping up in my Instagram feed so when deciding where to meet to catch up with a best friend, it was a no-brainer.
It was SO HARD to choose from the menu! Popcorn milkshake? Chilli Cheese Scramble? Reuben Rolly Pollies?! Everything sounded delicious and there were plenty of different dishes to truly tickle your imagination as well as your diet (plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options).
We finally decided on trying two of the bao’s to start. I had the Grandpa’s 7 hour Pork Belly Bao and the Breakfast Bao with bacon, egg and mizuna. My friend also had the Breakfast Bao and the Mickey D’s Sausage & Egg Bao-nedict. Because we always want to taste all the things, we also ordered the Crispy French Toast with Nutella Foam and Coffee Butter 😛
For drinks, I got the cold Vietnamese coffee and my friend got a long macchiato (always topped up). It was agonizing watching the coffee drip, drip, drip through to the glass and into the awaiting condensed milk – but it was worth the wait for sweet, creamy and light iced coffee – Yum!
The boa’s were as light and fluffy as you would expect and the perfect receptacles for breakfast ingredients of bacon, eggs, sausage and roast pork.
When the French toast arrived with its generous tower of fluffy Nutella cream we couldn’t wait to dig in! It was the perfect size to share. The toast was light and crispy (not bogged down like some French toast can be), the cream was airy and had just the right amount of Nutella. I couldn’t taste a whole heap of the coffee in the coffee butter but that might have had something to do with the strong Vietnamese coffee still on my tastebuds. All in all, it was a delicious way to finish a long overdue catch up!
My friend and I both loved checking out Panda & Co. The food was awesome, the staff were so friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back as I NEED to try the Korean Waffles of Mass Destruction haha!
