It’s nearly Christmas and that means present time! So what do you gift that special person in your life who is obsessed with all things food, cooking and healthy living? Below are a few ideas for all budgets and foodie personalities!
First up we have Gifts for those that love to Cook followed by Gifts for those that love to Eat and Drink!
Lots of the below presents are also digital so there is no need to wait for delivery – just print and place into a nice card for those last minute occasions.
A little preface; some of the links below are for places, companies and products that are available in Australia (Perth, Western Australia in particular). But this doesn’t mean you can’t utilise the power that is Google and find the same or similar items in your local area 🙂
Gift for those that love to cook!
High Sided Sauté Risotto Pan – A super versatile style of pan this can be used for frying, sautéing, simmering and even roasting! Wide enough for pancakes but with high enough sides for curries and stir fries, if you’re going to buy someone a single pan then this is the one!
Spiralizer – Not just a fad kitchen gadget, a spiralizer can be used to make a plethora of healthy items – vegetable noodles (zuchinni, sweet potato, parsnip), fries (potatoes, sweet potato), beautiful salad ingredients (carrots, beetroot) and even rice (sweet potato, jicamba). For a whole heap of recipes check out Inspiralized.com & get it here!
Tea-Towels – Tea towels are an essential kitchen item and you really can never have enough! But don’t just gift the boring chequered or striped patterns, there are plenty of fun designs out there to suit all individuals. Check these out (there is also currently 20% off site wide at zazzle.com)!
– Rude Kitchen Series – B*tch Peas & Fork You Tea Towels
– Guac (Guacamole) Life Tea Towel
Cast Iron Skillet – There is something about food cooked in cast iron that just makes it taste so much better! Cast iron cookware is a wonderful conductor of heat and as such makes it perfect for crispy pancakes, roasting meats and root vegetables, and even baking cakes! Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
Fermenting Jars / Crocks – Fermented foods have made a big comeback over the last few years (think kraut, pickles, kombucha), and what better way for your foodie friend to learn to ferment but with an awesome kit! Check out the Mad Millie Fermenting Crock, Krautsource and Pete Evens jars Culture for Life.
Cooking Classes – Learning new kitchen skills and recipes is always exciting and there are so many different types of cooking classes out there now! So take your pick of whatever current foodie obsession or favourite dish your loved one is into and gift them a cooking class!

Slow-Fast Cooker – I absolutely love my Breville Slow Fast Cooker and use it all the time for making bone broth, soups, pulled pork, curries and even pasta sauce! The versatility of being able to choose between the slow cooker or pressure cooker (depending on the recipe and how much time you have) is awesome! It also has steaming and keep warm functions, as well as a sauté function which allows you to brown your ingredients straight in the cooker (less dishes!).
Food Processor – Another kitchen item that really saves so much time for the enthusiastic cook! A good food processor makes chopping, slicing and blending a breeze, especially if you are making large quantities of food. Great for making cauliflower / broccoli rice, nut butters, bliss balls and even nut milk! Food processors come in a range of sizes and prices. I recommend purchasing the biggest you can afford so that there is enough room to meal prep ingredients. The Cuisinart 8 Cup Food Processor is currently on sale at 30% off!
Good Knives – This one is a more expensive gift but one good, sharp knife is really all you need in the kitchen. I have the Global 7-piece Knife Set and they are wonderful knives. You can often find them on sale so make sure to shop around.
Cookbooks – and of course cookbooks! There really are so, so many to choose from. Here are a few that are on my own wish list for the future (all healthy, paleo or gluten-free with new and exciting recipes).
– Healthy Made Easy by Luke Hines
– Fed & Fit: A 28 Day Food (Paleo) & Fitness Plan to Jump-Start Your Life by Cassy Joy Garcia
